Do your best & let it be. Marcus Aurelius 6.2
Do the task before you. Don't
worry about the past, in which you were born, or the future, in which
you will die. The present moment is enough for you. “Sufficient
unto the day is the evil thereof,” as another wise ancient once
said.
Don't hesitate all the time,
wondering whether you're doing the right thing. Asking yourself if
you're too hot or too cold, if you should sleep or get up already, if
you're being insulted or flattered, if you're dying or doing some
other grave thing. There is really just one way of doing business
common to all living beings, and we die at the end of it. It is
enough in this way, on this path, if you simply do the task before
you as best you can.
